The credit transfer program is a cooperative education program between South China Agricultural University and overseas world-class universities. The program was approved by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province and was launched in 2012. The first program: Economics and Management program was launched as a pilot project in 2014. The program then was expanded to various disciplines, including food science and engineering, environmental science, horticulture, art, computer science, landscape architecture, statistics. In 2020, the program of food quality and safety and horticulture were incorporated into Guangzhou Dublin International College of Life Sciences and Technology at SCAU. In 2023, the program of animal science was launched as a new program.
The program consists of study at SCAU and at overseas universities. After completing study at both universities, students from 2+2 program obtain a bachelor degree from SCAU and corresponding overseas universities, and students from 3+2 program obtain a bachelor degree from SCAU and a master degree from overseas university. The aim of the program is to cultivate international talents with patriotism, an international vision, cross-cultural communication skills and international competitiveness.
