From October 18 to October 19,2025 GD Youth Link Guangdong International Friendly Football Match was successfully held in Zhuhai. The match was jointly organized byGuangdong People’s Association For Friendship WithForeign Countries (GDPAFFC), Guangdong Amateur Football Association, Zhuhai people's association for friendship with foreign countries, and Zhuhai All Sports Federation.
As a highly influential international sports event for foreign friends in the Guangdong region,this year’s GD Youth Link attracted around 200 participants from 28 countries and regions, representing universities, enterprises, foreign consulates in China, and other sectors. The international student football team from SCAU was invited to take part in the match.

During the GD Youth Link journey, the SCAU International Student Football Team not only secured an impressive fourth place in the Gold Cup group but also fostered international friendship throughout the tournament, showcasing the positive and uplifting spirit of SCAU students. Throughout the competition, our players engaged in warm exchanges with teammates from other teams, sharing football skills and chatting about their experiences living in Guangdong. The green field echoed with laughter and voices in different languages, painting a vivid picture of cross-cultural exchange.
At the competition venue, Shao Jiasheng, secretary of the party committee of College of International Education, who also served as the team's leader and coach, stated that the university is always committed to building a platform for diverse cultural exchanges for its international students. Organizing international students to participate in theGD Youth Link has not only enriched their extracurricular life and improved their physical fitness, but also built a bridge for cross-cultural communication, helping them better integrate into Guangdong and understand China. In the future, the university will continue to rely on various cultural and sports activities as well as social practice programs to continuously broaden the scope and depth of international students' campus life. The goal is to help them grow into ambassadors of friendly exchanges between China and other countries, contributing SCAU's strength to the promotion of mutual learning among civilizations.
