On the morning of April 9th, Lin Shuyi, director of Foreign Affairs Office and director of Foreign Affairs Bureau of Yunfu City, visited College of International Education for exchange. Dean Feng Lixin and vice-dean Zhao Lihong attended the meeting.
Dean Feng Lixin warmly welcomed director Lin Shuyi's team to conduct research and exchange at South China Agricultural Unversity, and pointed out that SCAU attaches great importance to international exchange and cooperation, strives to build a new pattern of opening up to the outside world, and promotes regional economic and social development through programs for international students to study in China. College International Education actively serves national strategies, cultivates high-level international talents who are knowledgeable and friendly towards China, and 'tells the story of China, spreads China's experience, and speaks up for China'. In order to help international students better 'feel China', in January this year, the two sides signed a memorandum on jointly building a base for international students to experience Chinese path to modernization in Yunfu. It is hoped that through this exchange, both sides will increase mutual understanding, create a multicultural exchange platform, promote deep integration between universities and regions, collaborate in education, and achieve common development. Together can both sides deepen friendship and cooperation between countries, promote people to people communication, and achieve mutual construction, sharing, and win-win results. Director of International Student Office, Zhu Ling, introduced the development of international education at SCAU, especially international students studying in China.
Director Lin Shuyi expressed gratitude for the warm reception and gave high praise to SCAU for actively innovating national education models and building the brand of 'Study in China' by taking advantages of disciplinary characteristics. She said that Yunfu city attaches great importance to foreign affairs. There are a large number of planting and breeding enterprises, health care industrial parks, etc., which can provide more practical experience for overseas students, enabling them to feel the practice of Chinese path to modernization and tell 'stories of Yunfu'. She hoped to strengthen the cooperation with universities, cities and enterprises by jointly building a base for international students to experience Chinese path to modernization in Yunfu with SCAU, so that more international students can understand China, understand Guangdong, get to know Yunfu, and help Yunfu build a green international city.
Both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions around the joint construction of the base, and unanimously stated that further cooperation will be strengthened to fully tap into resources and advantages respectively, focus on the development goals of the university and the needs of local economic and social development, deepen cooperation, promote high-quality development of the joint construction base, serve rural revitalization, and assist 'The Hundred Million Project'.
The visit of Yunfu Foreign Affairs Bureau promoted the joint construction of the Chinese path to modernization Base for international students to experience Chinese modernization. Both sides unanimously stated that connection will be strengthened to learn from each other, and work together to tell the stories of China, the Greater Bay Area, Guangdong, and stories of SCAU.
