In order to further promote the development of Guangzhou Dublin International College of Life Sciences and Technology and deepen cooperation between the two universities, on the afternoon of November 23, 2023, Vice-President of UCD Dolores O'Riordan, Provost of GDIC Paul Fanning, Deputy Minister of International Affairs of the Faculty of Health and Agricultural Sciences Aifric O'Sullivan, and a delegation of 5 visited Guangzhou Dublin International College of Life and Technology. Secretary of the Party Committee of GDIC Shao Jiasheng, Vice President Hao Gang, and relevant personnel from Sino-foreign cooperative education office attended the event.
After Vice President Dolores O'Riordan and the delegation arrived at the college, the student representatives of GDIC led the delegation to visit the college and gave a brief introduction to the college from the aspects of historical evolution, faculty, teaching and research, campus culture, etc., demonstrating the solid foundation and characteristics of the college. Later, Vice President Dolores O'Riordan and the delegation held discussions with the college staff. At the meeting, Vice President Hao Gang extended a warm welcome to Vice President Dolores O'Riordan and the delegation, gave a basic introduction to Guangzhou Dublin International College of Life Sciences and Technology and International Education College, and reviewed the enrollment, teaching and development of GDIC in recent years. The two parties conducted in-depth discussions on teaching management, talent training, scientific research cooperation and other aspects.
Vice President Dolores O'Riordan also held exchanges and discussions with student representatives from various majors at GDIC.The students spoke actively and expressed their opinions and feelings. Vice President Dolores O'Riordan said that the college will take students' suggestions seriously, continuously improve and optimize the college's education, teaching and management services, and promote high-quality development of the college.
The visit of the Vice-president of University College Dublin in Ireland and the delegation has injected new impetus into the cooperative education between the two universities.
