On 26th November 2018, the 2018 'Charming Guangdong Living My Dreams' international student Gala came to an end at the Yunshan Hall of the North Campus of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. Programme performed by international students of SCAU achieved excellent results again. The programme 'New Romance of the Three Kingdoms' won the Best Popularity Award on the Internet and the third prize in the language category. The dance programme 'Naughty Girl' won the third prize in the arts category.

This event was organized by the Guangdong Public Diplomacy Association, Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and Guangdong Education Association for International Exchange, and hosted by Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and International Students Committee of Guangdong Higher Education Association. The event brought together nearly 800 international students from 48 countries from major universities across the province. The exchange activities were carried out through cultural performances, providing a cultural platform for international students in Guangdong to understand China, adapt to life in Guangdong, and promote communication among them. The activity showcased the youthful vitality and creative passion of college students, and also enabled international students studying in Guangdong to better inherit and promote their own culture, understand and learn about excellent traditional Chinese culture and Lingnan culture.

 In addition, Li Xin, vice chairman of Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, on behalf of Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Guangdong Public Diplomacy Association, expressed warm congratulations on the organization of the event. She mentioned that the deepening of China's opening up and the joint construction of 'the Belt and Road' initiative would provide more opportunities for international students to come to Guangdong for exchange and study. At the same time, she also hoped that international students would become friendly ambassadors for cultural exchanges and mutual learning, and play a positive role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between Guangdong and other countries in the world, and promoting the construction of a community of shared future for mankind.
