On the evening of March 20, Guangdong Public Diplomacy Association held the 2024 Spring Tea Reception in Guangzhou. More than 230 guests, including consuls general and representatives of 56 foreign consulates general in Guangzhou, presidents of some prefecture-level city public diplomacy associations, and representatives from all walks of life, gathered together to discuss friendship, seek common development, and talk about the future. Chairman of Guangdong Provincial Committee of the CPPCP and President of Guangdong Public Diplomacy Association Lin Keqing attended and delivered a speech.
In the cultural and artistic performance section, Guangdong Song and Dance Theater, Guangdong Experimental Middle School, South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou Acrobatic Art Theater and other units presented wonderful and high-quality art programs. Representatives of the international student program participated in the cultural performance at the reception. Among them, "Beautiful China" performed by international students from South China Agricultural University was the only one performed by universities in Guangzhou. Their singing and dancing performances pushed the atmosphere to a climax and won warm applause and cheers. The international students performing were not only versatile, but also came from countries along the “Silk Road”. The performance integrated various artistic elements such as Chinese folk music and dance, singing praised for the magnificent scenery of China, admiration for China's changes in the times, and unlimited expectations for China's bright future. It also expressed the love of Chinese culture among international students. This program received professional and meticulous guidance from the teachers and students of College of International Education. The students also overcame heavy pressure from academic studies and experiments, and continued to polish, and presented outstanding results on the stage, winning applause from the audience. The program also won good results in the 2023 ‘Charming Guangdong, Living My Dreams’ International Students Gala.
