On the morning of September 10, College of International Education held the opening ceremony 2018 in the lecture hall on the third floor of Administration Building. Participants include the leaders of the College, the faculty members and the freshmen of year 2018. Associate Dean Zhao Lihong hosted the ceremony and briefly introduced the College.
At the ceremony, Dean Yu Rangcai expressed his heartfelt congratulations and warm welcome to the freshmen, in addition，he introduced the education of international students, the history of the international classes in our university and the outstanding achievements.
The Dean emphasized that choosing to study in college of international education, must overcome many difficulties, and pay more hardships and hard work. He also expressed his expectations to all the freshmen, hoping them to remember the university’s motto: Morality, Knowledge, Truth, and Innovation, hoping them to learn self-management: how to study and how to behave, hoping them to be the high quality talents with international vision and the world's citizens with consciousness.
On behalf of the international students,ROTHENBERG DYLAN ONEILL from the USA shared his learning and life experience: to be good at discovering and seizing opportunities, to learn to arrange time reasonably, and to balance study and extracurricular life. MOHAMMED FATHY YOSSIF TAHA ABDELWAHAB, a freshman from Egypt, was very grateful to South China Agricultural University for giving this opportunity to study. He hoped to learn Chinese culture and professional knowledge during the study.
Chen Ziqian, on behalf of the current “2+2” international class students, shared her college life experience in both Chinese and English. She encouraged new students to cherish their dreams, find the right orientation, and work hard to realize their dreams as soon as possible. In her speech, Huang YuZhen, the freshman representative of the" 2+2" international class, expressed the joy of studying in the International Education College. She called on the students to set goals and summon up the courage to confront various challenges.
