1118 foreigners and Chinese from over 70 countries and regions participated in the 10th Guangzhou Friendship Games at Tianhe Sports Center on October 28 and 29, 2017. College of International Education of our university also actively organized students to sign up for basketball, football, table tennis, tennis, badminton, bowling and other events.
ROTHENBERG DYLAN ONEILL from the USA, a master student majoring in tea science in our university, took the oath on the behalf of all the athletes at the opening ceremony.
 

 

In the table tennis men’s singles, ASENSO EVANS from Ghana, a PhD student majoring in Agricultural Soil and Water Engineering, won the second prize in the final. This is the highest prize that our university has won in the table tennis since our university began to participate in the Friendship Games.

 

International students from our university participate in every Guangzhou Friendship Games. This activity has greatly enriched the extracurricular life of international students and provided a platform for them to communicate with and learn from each other.
