On the morning of September 15, College of International Education held the opening ceremony 2017 in the lecture hall on the third floor of Administration Building. Participants include the leaders of the College, the faculty members and the freshmen of year 2017. Associate Dean Zhao Lihong hosted the ceremony and briefly introduced the College.
At the ceremony, Dean Yu Rangcai delivered a welcome speech to the freshmen and introduced the history of the international education in our university. He also expressed his expectations to all the freshmen, hoping them to learn self-management: how to study and how to behave, hoping them to remember the university’s motto: Morality, Knowledge, Truth, Innovation, hoping them to make good use of the precious study resources to be the high quality talents with international vision and the world's citizens with consciousness in the context of the university's comprehensive construction of a high level university.
On behalf of the current students, Chinese student Li Shirong and international student Babpan Kasama from Thailand, gave speeches, expressing warm welcome and good wishes for the freshmen, sharing their experience in the study and the daily life, encouraging them to learn from each other.
Xie Wanying and Rothenberg Dylan O’Neill from the USA, representatives of new students, both expressed their excitement of starting a new journey and their delight in entering South China Agricultural University, thanked the leaders and the faculty members for their care and support and called for the whole students to adapt to the new environment, study hard and strive for their dreams.
